Divinder is the owner of several local Subway franchises. His operations offer employment opportunities to immigrants and students, many of whom have limited work experience. These positions prove to be an important stepping stone for entry into the Canadian workforce, and invaluable experience working in a new culture in addition to offering a great opportunity to develop English speaking skills. Employees are given training and opportunities to advance in the company.

Divinder is very involved in the community at large, and is a key administrator of the Guelph Sikh Society.
