Wellington County bus tour was driven to success!
November 20, 2013
On December 2, 18 people from Guelph, Arthur, and Fergus who are currently looking for work, including 16 immigrants, hopped on a bus to learn about the benefits of living and working in Wellington County.
LIP action team members strongly supported this free event, which was led by the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin and Wellington County.
Participants were treated to tours of four companies: Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home, Musashi Auto Parts Inc., Royal Terrace Long Term & Residential Care, and Norwell Dairy Systems Ltd.
The day was a huge success and a great opportunity for both immigrants and employers to learn more about what each has to offer.
